kbb Birmingham 2024

KITCHEN, BEDROOM & BATHROOMS

kbb Birmingham, the bi-annual Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathrooms exhibition, has always provided a powerful touch-point in the WFF’s development. This year it’s more important than ever.

WFF officially launched in a whirl of publicity on the Caesarstone stand at the 2020 exhibition. We were there as an infant organisation, watching and wondering while a few visitors and exhibitors started tapping elbows instead of shaking hands, and talking about some new disease that’s arisen in China that we’re all supposed to be so scared of.

We were back in 2022, test kit results in hand, to launch the WFF Guide to Engineered and Natural Stone: our attempt to educate retailers and their customers about the realities of stone worksurfaces, and curtail some of the vexatious snagging calls we all get because people think stone is hard, so it must be scratch-proof, impact-proof and heat-proof.

4 YEARS OLD!

2024 sees a real coming of age. Exhibiting in our own right for the first time, WFF is addressing stone Worktops latest scare story head-on. We know showrooms, home-owners and house builders are concerned about the stories they’ve heard of Quartz Worktops being banned in Australia. So they need to know there is a voice in the UK upon which they can rely for informed reassurance. The voice of the professional fabricator.

WFF has already been in the kitchen and bathroom press, sharing our experiences, pointing readers to our FAQs on respirable silica dust and reassuring customers there’s no risk of catching cancer from their Worktops. But there’s nothing like a face to face conversation. And for that, we need the unique forum that only an exhibition brings.

PROFESSIONAL FABRICATORS

kbb Birmingham has always been the focus for Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom showrooms, installers and interior designers. This year, it provides a unique opportunity to get the quality-means-safety message out there. WFF is exhibiting at kbb Birmingham to reassure our core customers they can specify stone safely in the UK. And drive home the message that a cheap job with an angle-grinder carries deeper risks than just customer dissatisfaction.

Without proper equipment, a controlled factory environment and correct health & safety procedures, cutting stone – any kind of stone, puts workers’ health at serious risk. We have always known that because we are the professionals.

We’re looking forward to kbb Birmingham doing what kbb Birmingham does best – bringing the industry together to do business. The kind of business in which the trade delivers quality, safety and reliability so markets can grow and customers can be delighted.

Come and see us on stand S109.  And see why advising customers on colours, veining and texture is only half the story.
